Adopting A Pet From Us

OUR PETS ARE FOR A LIFETIME

Pets and Rescue Pets are for a lifetime and require a big commitment from you, your spouse, partner, flat-mates and children. Looking after them includes regular exercise, training, playing, grooming, a period of housebreaking and teething, feeding, potential vet bills and flea/worm/annual vaccinations. It’s a big commitment!

Please note - if you have thought about it long and hard and you are ready, taking home one of our pets would be wonderful, however have you first checked the RSPCA or Pet Rescue (both of whom we are not affiliated with) to see if there's any Rescue Pet that may suit you?

Adopting a pet from us takes about an hour or so, as there is lots of paperwork but most importantly we explain in great detail the obligations, duty of care and requirements for you.

Ours also come with a 3-day, 50% Cooling-Off period, just in case you weren’t as ready as you thought.

WHAT’S INCLUDED WITH OUR PETS

All our pets and Rescue Pets come with current vaccinations, microchip, extreme cuteness, a written Health Guarantee, free vet check after purchase, vet coverage, discounted desexing, free desexing for Rescue Pets, 3-day cooling off period, 4 weeks free pet insurance (cond apply) & a Lifetime Rehoming Guarantee (cond. apply).

GOT A REQUEST FOR PARTICULAR PET?

Due to our reputation people adopt a wide variety of breeds and crosses from us. If you are after one type in particular in the future, fill out the form below. We’ll put you in our system and if they do come in, send you an obligation-free text. Our system does not allow us to reply to the form below.

We can only send messages out for general types, so if you ask for a Maltese x Shih Tzu, you will receive a text if any Maltese or any Shih Tzu crosses or purebreds arrive (you can opt out at any time). The form below is only for dogs or purebred cats/crosses, so if you’re interested in a domestic kitten or one of our Rescue Cats, just keep an eye on our website. We put them all on there.

If you do have any questions, please go to the “Contact” section (https://www.room4pets.com.au/contact) as we cannot reply to you from the form below.

THE BENEFITS OF HAVING A PET

  • Companionship – Working too hard? Pets increase our sense of well-being and make us feel happier. Unconditional love and loyalty is one of the amazing things that people of all ages should experience. Pets and Rescue Pets put more love in your home.

  • Health benefits – Pets provide very well documented health benefits including improved fitness, lower blood pressure, lower stress/depression levels, improved self-esteem, less sick days from school or work and decreased asthma and allergies.

  • Sense of security – Pets have great hearing and a barking dog is a great prowler alert.

  • Responsibility – Pets need to be walked, fed, cleaned up after, taught and played with. This is a great life lesson for children or adults.

  • Social interaction – Research proves that there is no better conversation starter down at the park or in the street than a pet. They’re also a wonderful source of entertainment that’s not the X-Box.
